5:00am I'm up and I'm hyper, painted half of our little hall between the kitchen and the dining room
5:30am running with friends
6:30am finish painting hall/shower
7:00am get the girls up (they hop out of bed happily), make steel cut oats w/ agave, and green smoothies with fresh OJ, frozen blueberries, & collard greens
7:15am girls lap up the practically perfect healthy goodness
7:30am Tess practices her piano while Adelle feeds the dog
7:45am leash on Poe and walk the 1/2 mile to the girls school
8:00am girls are right on time
8:15am head to our favorite local breakfast diner for an exciting kid-free breakfast
9:00am-11:30am kiss Tom good-bye, hurry back home to shower, clean, read, web surf and enjoy the quietness
2nd, 3rd and 4th day of school mornings
7:39am I’m up and back to my regular sluggish self
7:40am drag tired, ornery kids out of bed, pop-tarts for breakfast
8:10am drive girls to school—they are tardy and mad
This is of course a cautionary tale: never set expectations while watching the Olympics. Let's just hope I can make it through to labor day without doping.
the traditional TGIF after school kiss
Here is a video of what I've been missing in the morning.

Ok. Do you have any idea how much I miss you?
Seriously.
Your last post got me very teary eyed for you and Cynthia.
Wow...now I'm sobbing.
Oh! MY! our operatic Adelle is a delight!
How I love this clip of singing through the morning spoon drawer chore then dancing down the hall !!

Yay!!! You're back in the world of blogging! I've been missing my friend Sarah, and was considering deleting her link from our blog (ha! teasing - I could NEVER do that to my PB buddy:)
That clip is the best - I love the singing.
can't wait to see her on broadway!
in the meanwhile, delly is welcome to come help out with chores at my house any time :) we could sure use an extra dose of charm at choretime!
that marathon morning reminds me of when we got up at 5 to go to that yoga class and then the other super weights one. i slept through my alarm the very next try. but you kept going - you are my hero!
Day 7 of the new school year...after three outfit changes, Mary enters the school building only to exit moments later in tears, aparently not able to face another day of school.
You make me laugh!
seriously, sounds like my day, minus the exercise, add an exciting feeding minus healthy breakfast add day-old doughnuts!!! :)
sarah-- it's meredith mckinnon. remember me from the austin ward? anyway, i loved reading about your first day of school. you put all of us to shame. that breakfast sounds fabulous-- if only i had more motivation in the morning to make the girls something to eat other than bran flakes, that would be exactly what i would want to make for them! someday...
ok the clip of adelle is priceless...she truly is a little cinderella, singing through her chores and singing about what she is doing CLASSIC...love it...
